Howell Mountain, Napa Valley Shimmering pale gold with a silvery rim, the aromatics of green apple, wet stone, flinty minerality, caramelized sugar and subtle spring flowers greet you as you stick your nose into this elegant, rich Sauvignon Blanc. A full, yet soft mouthfeel with a teasing citrus zest opens to undertones of honeyed lemon grass, almonds, papaya, kiwi and ripe “Hoagen” melons. Beautifully balanced and structurally complex, this wine unfolds gradually to expose multiple layers as you drink it, and continues to open through a very long clean citric finish. Our Sauvignon Blanc is made in a traditional Bordeaux “Graves” style, in that we age it nearly a year surs lees in a combination of French Oak (some new and some aged), and Stainless Steel. We then bottle age this wine for another year before it is released. This process adds a richness and complexity to our Sauvignon Blanc that makes it perfect to enjoy as an aperitif, but unlike many Sauvignon Blancs, it truly shines with great food. This wine will also cellar for years to come. Alc. 14.2%
