Howell Mountain —
Up Close
Arkenstone is not made. It is built, one vintage at a time, by the same family who will hand it to you.
We don't chase volume. We don't chase scale. We're a proud micro-brand, committed to organic farming on our family estate. Each bottle is the result of decisions made in person — in the vineyard, in the cellar — by our vineyard and winemaking teams, never by formula. What we produce is minute in scale, and that's exactly how we want it.
Every vintage is a very limited production — shaped by a single mountain, a single season, and the handful of people who tend it from first bud to final cork. Nothing here is mass-produced, nor is it meant to be. What we make is built to be held onto, opened with intention, and remembered as something rare.
A look behind
the curtains
A visit to Arkenstone offers a rare peek behind the curtain of a true mountain estate. Perched high on Howell Mountain, our small team farms and makes the wines entirely in-house, allowing guests to experience the vineyard, winery, and caves exactly as they function day to day. Tastings are intimate and unhurried, offering a closer look at the people, the place, and the thoughtful decisions behind every bottle. It’s less a formal tasting and more an invitation into the inner workings of the estate.

Vine to Glass:
The Making of an Estate
Crafted with Patience,
Defined by Place
Our estate sits high on Howell Mountain, above the valley floor and above the fog, planted in extreme volcanic soils. Cool days and warn nights shape each vintage against the rugged hillside. This is not gentle land, and it does not hurry. Neither do we.
